What's new in WireMagic

Release notes for the desktop app on macOS and Windows. Here is what changed and why.

WireMagic 1.0.2 — September 19, 2026

Clearer update notifications and a smoother path to the latest version.

  • See when a new version is available, while continuing your work.
  • Retry an interrupted update or open the official download page directly from the app.
  • Improved update delivery on macOS and Windows.

On Mac, updating from 1.0 or 1.0.1 requires a one-time manual installation: download 1.0.2, save your work, quit WireMagic, and replace the app in Applications. Your local projects and settings remain in place. This enables future in-app updates.

WireMagic 1.0.1 — September 18, 2026

A smoother AI workflow, from the first draft to the next edit.

  • Start and stop AI tasks more reliably, and begin a new conversation after stopping.
  • Continue working more smoothly after an interrupted AI connection.
  • AI gathers canvas context before drafting, reducing unnecessary back-and-forth.
  • Better layout sizing and focused fixes help preserve your design while making changes.
  • Cleaner task history and improvements to project recovery.

Update to 1.0.1 to use the improved built-in AI. Your existing local project files remain compatible.

WireMagic 1.0 — August 2026

The first public release. WireMagic 1.0 ships with:

  • A fast low-fidelity wireframe editor with native local .wiremagic project files.
  • BMPR import: open and preview Balsamiq projects free with a full import report, and convert them into editable projects on paid plans.
  • AI first drafts and conversational revisions on Plus and Pro — every AI change lands as editable controls.
  • Agent Bridge (Beta): connect Claude or any MCP-capable agent to work on your canvas, included on every plan.
  • Share Preview Links for lightweight review and handoff.
  • Native builds for macOS (Apple silicon and Intel) and Windows x64, with automatic updates.
